Adding your experience
What happens when you contribute
Nigeria has very little published data about what living with a condition here is actually like — what it costs, how long it takes to get seen, which medicines are available. You know some of that. This is how it gets written down.
What we ask you
Short sets of questions, never a long form. Each one is a separate decision and you can stop after any of them.
-
A short profile
Eight to ten questions, asked once. Your state, an age band, and the conditions you want to report on. Not your name and not your address.
-
One set per condition
Ten to twenty questions about living with it. Asked once per condition you choose to report.
-
A check-in
Four to six questions, monthly or quarterly. This is the part that matters most: one answer is a snapshot, and a year of answers is a picture of what actually happens.
-
When something happens
A short report after a fever, an admission or an emergency, and a few questions whenever you spend money on health.
What we never ask you
This is not a list of things we are careful with. It is a list of things the system has nowhere to put.
- Your full name
- Your national identification number
- Your bank details, or any payment information
- Where you work
- Your street address, or a pin on a map
- A photograph of your face
Safebodi will never ask you for money. If anybody asks you to pay to take part, it is not us.
What your answers are used for
Only what you have agreed to, purpose by purpose. Each one is a separate switch on your records page and each one can be turned off without affecting the others.
- Your own record. Kept for you to read back. On by default, with a clear off switch.
- Research, without your name. Off unless you choose it. Researchers receive answers with every identifying detail removed.
- Commercial licensing, without your name. Off unless you choose it. Companies pay Safebodi to use answers like yours, and that is how this is funded. You can say no and keep everything else.
How your answers are kept explains what is stored where, and who can see it.
What you get back
- Your own record, whenever you want it. Everything you have told us, readable and downloadable. This works now.
- The community pages. What people on this platform report about a condition — costs, waiting times, what helped — published as anonymous figures once enough people have answered for a figure to be safe to show.
- Airtime, data or screening for regular check-ins. This is not running yet. When it is, it will be staged across verified follow-ups rather than paid per answer — paying per answer buys quantity and ruins the data.
